Introduction
The large and growing scale of construction is ensured by the use of high-performance construction and road machines, complex mechanization and automation of construction production. Currently, a large number of various construction and road machines have been created, which are systematically replenished with new and more advanced machines.
To perform earthworks, universal and specialized construction machines have been created - excavators, staplers, bulldozers, graders, auto graders with lightweight control and convenient cabins. In this work, we will consider bulldozers in more detail.
Bulldozer - an earth-moving machine consisting of a basic tractor and bulldozer (mounted) equipment, designed to cut and move soil and plan the developed surface.
Bulldozers are used in the construction of embankments, backfilling of trenches and ditches, the development of blown rock soils, the movement of bulk materials, the supply of stone materials to crushing plants, the cleaning of territories from slag, garbage and snow, the planning of slopes, etc.
Bulldozers as mounted equipment for tractors, tractors and other basic machines are widespread, due to the simplicity of their structures, high productivity, the possibility of their use in a wide variety of soil and climatic conditions and the relatively low cost of work performed.

Conclusion
During the course project, we studied the possible structures of bulldozers, as well as the classification of bulldozers. In addition, the main parameters of the bulldozer were selected and calculated. A traction calculation of the bulldozer was made, as a result of which it was found that the traction force developed by the bulldozer was enough to perform work under given conditions. The dump control mechanism was calculated by determining the forces acting on it in case of accidental loads. According to the received data, a hydraulic cylinder for lifting the dump was selected, which will ensure uninterrupted operation of the dump control mechanism.
