Introduction

The course design is carried out in the discipline "Applied Mechanics" and includes kinematic calculation, design and selection of the main components of the conveyor drive.

The explanatory note contains the sequence of kinematic calculation of the drive with selection of standard units sizes: electric motor, reduction gear box and coupling couplings.

As an engine, a standard three-phase current electric motor is used. The transmission mechanism is a single-stage worm reduction gear. The actuator in this project is a shaft with a drum.

Motor shaft is connected to input shaft of reduction gear by means of bushing-pin coupling, and output shaft of reduction gear is connected to driving shaft by means of chain coupling. The couplings are selected by catalogs.

Conveyor speed control is not provided during operation.
