Pumping unit 4AN-700

The 4AN-700 pumping units (Figure 1.1) are designed for pumping various fluids during hydraulic fracturing, sandblasting, and other processes aimed at increasing reservoir fluid production. The pumping unit consists of a power unit, a four-speed gearbox, a 4R-700 three-plunger pump, auxiliary pipeline, manifold, and other equipment mounted on the chassis of a KrAZ-257B1A1 truck.

The power unit includes a V2-800TK-SZ internal combustion engine with a friction clutch, fuel system, cooling system, lubrication system, electric starter with batteries, and other components, all housed under a common hood. The engine in the power unit rotates the driven shaft of the gearbox via a friction clutch and gear transmission. Torque from the transmission's driven shaft is transmitted via a toothed clutch to the pump transmission shaft. Auxiliary fuel tanks are installed next to the vehicle fuel tanks. All four fuel tanks are interconnected by pipes and serve to supply both the traction motor and the pump unit's power unit engine.

The engine is started by an 11 kW ST-723 electric starter, which draws power from the unit's battery. The amount of fuel delivered to the engine cylinders is regulated by moving the linkage on the high-pressure fuel pump; the linkage is connected via a system of levers to a pedal on the control station.
