Description
The VVT-i (Variable Valve Timing intelligent) system allows you to smoothly change the valve timing phases in accordance with the operating conditions of the engine. This is achieved by rotating the camshaft of the intake valves relative to the exhaust shaft in the range of 40-60 ° (at the angle of rotation of the crankshaft). As a result, the moment of the beginning of the opening of the intake valves and the amount of the "overlapping" time (that is, the time when the exhaust valve is not yet closed, and the intake valve is already open) change.
