Cleaning of the main pipeline cavity is carried out in two stages:

1. Preliminary cleaning (pulling the cleaning device during welding and installation work).
2. Blowing with compressed air, flushing, removing contaminants with a liquid flow.

Flushing and blowing with the bypass of cleaning or separating devices should be performed on pipelines with a diameter of 219 mm and above. Flushing and blowing without bypassing cleaning or separating devices is allowed on pipelines with a diameter of less than 219 mm or when the length of the cleaned section is less than one kilometer.

Pneumatic testing of the main pipeline is conducted using air (gas) as the pressure medium.
