Introduction

Conveyors move loose and lumped materials or piece uniform weights in continuous flow over short distances. They are widely used for mechanization of loading and unloading operations, for transporting products in process flow lines, etc.

At present, a large number of various conveying devices are known, distinguishing both in terms of operation and design.

The traction member of the plate conveyor is a chain.

Positive aspects of the design: compact drive with high gear ratio, quiet, smooth running.

Disadvantages: low K.P.D., possible difficulties with lubrication of vertical shafts.
