Description
MPT4 — a loading and transportation motor vehicle — a Soviet two-axle locomotive with an internal combustion engine.
On the front console, there is a supporting cabin with a console-type crane.
In the rear console under the hood is the power unit (originally a U1D6 diesel engine, modern machines are equipped with YMZ-238 engines with a turbocharger), transmitting power through a V-belt drive to a three-phase generator, and through a hydraulic transmission and cardan drive to the axle reducers of the wheel pairs and the compressor.
