Summary

Introduction

Auto grader refers to earth-moving vehicles, so

how its work consists in cutting a layer of earth and transporting it in a given direction. This is a self-propelled excavating machine, since it is equipped with its own power plant for driving wheels.

The main purpose of auto graders is to plan and profile areas and slopes, leveling and moving soil, bulk materials during the construction and repair of roads, hydromechanical and other structures. These works are performed by a dump with cutting knives placed between the front and rear axes of the motor grader and suspended from its frame. An important advantage of an auto grader is that they can carry out almost the entire cycle of earthworks during the construction of roads and railways, ending with the profiling of the roadway.
