Description
Magnetic starters of the PME series Electromagnetic starters are designed for use in stationary installations for remote start-up by direct connection to the network, stopping and reversing three-phase asynchronous motors with a short-circuited AC rotor of 660 V frequency 50 and 60 Hz. In the presence of three-pole thermal relays of the PTT and RTL series, the starters protect the controlled motors from overloads of unacceptable duration and from currents that occur when one of the phases breaks. Starters are suitable for operation in control systems using microprocessor technology when shunting an on-line coil with an interference canceller or with thyristor control.
