Description
Gear couplings are used to connect coaxial horizontal shafts and transmit torque under angular, radial, and axial shaft misalignment. The MZ series is a flexible coupling. These couplings compensate for shaft misalignment, radial, and angular misalignment.
The component consists of two bushings that are inserted into housings. The shafts to be connected are pressed into the bores of the bushings. The tooth shape allows for slight misalignment in any direction.
Backlash between the teeth compensates for shaft misalignment, as does the spherical surface of the bushing teeth.
