Roof trim for typical hives. The roof trim is one of the components of modern hives, located between the body (or magazine extension) and the roof of the hive. The undercut is designed to accommodate elements for insulation of hives and feeders when feeding bees. Accordingly, the height of the underwing - H, is determined by the thickness of the insulation, which depends on the climatic conditions where the bees are kept. As a rule, the height of the roof trim is H = 80-140 mm. Many beekeepers, as a roofer, use a store extension, with the necessary changes in it. The choice remains with the beekeeper. NOTES: In the side walls, it is allowed to open, instead of a single vent, three holes with a diameter of 25 mm, uniformly located on the same axis in the size of 125 mm. The roof trim shall be assembled in accordance with the requirements of GOST 20740-75 "Hives. Specifications "; The options for the angular connection of the walls are carried out by the beekeeper-manufacturer, taking into account the recommendations given in the section: "Angular connections of the walls in the shell." It is necessary to make the necessary changes in dimensions. When using walls with a thickness of 20 mm in the undercuts, it is necessary to make appropriate changes in the dimensions of the joints, connections, mating parts of the magazine extension, using PVA glue. The assemblies of the roof cover walls, on the inside, on the ventilation holes are installed metal protective nets with a cell size of 2-3 mm.
