Introduction

The purpose of this course work is to study the principle of operation of the forklift and calculate its main components: calculation of the main actuators and calculation of the transmission .

The purpose of the course project is to calculate a forklift truck based on the TCM FD50T9 analogue, designed for loading and unloading operations with piece loads, a carrying capacity of 5000 kg and a lifting height of 3.0 m.

The following calculations will be made during the course project:

Calculation of forklift loader.

Traction calculation of the loader.

Stability calculation.

The working documentation for this work includes an explanatory note with a volume of 46 pages of A4 format and a drawing of the general type of forklift on A1 format.

Forklift loader calculation

2.1 Calculation of load lifting mechanism

The hydraulic cylinder is calculated in two stages: first, the force on the lifting plunger is determined, taking into account all the resistances; then the required diameter of the cylinder (plunger) is calculated taking into account the pressure in the hydraulic system of the loader .

Conclusion

This forklift truck will be used to stack cargo to a height of 3.3 m, the mass of which does not exceed 5,000 kilograms in open and closed warehouses.

When operating the loader in closed warehouses, the height of the doorways should not be less than 4.72 m, free passage of the loader along a width of 1.5 m should be ensured, there should not be protrusions on the supporting surface exceeding the height of the lift truck clearance equal to 0.145m. When these conditions are met, it will make maximum use of the capabilities of the forklift .

Before starting, check: oil in the crankcase, coolant in the radiator, tyre pressure, presence of oil in the hydraulics and fuel. Perform periodic replacement of working fluids, lubrication of units, and technical inspection of the forklift as a whole.
