Description
The blow tank is designed to receive mass from digesters with a concentration of 12-14% and accumulate it by diluting it to 3-4% and releasing boiling vapors.
The welded pulp is blown from the digester into the blow tank under the influence of excessive pressure in the digester. The blow tank is at atmospheric pressure. Accordingly, the blowing overpressure drops to 0. In our case from 5.3 kg/cm2 to 0 kg/cm2. As a result, a liquid having a temperature in the digester above 100 ° C is superheated relative to the pressure in the blow tank - this causes it to boil intensively. A large amount of steam is released, with which excess heat is carried away, as a result, the temperature of the mass (liquid, cellulose and solutes) decreases to about 99° - 100 ° C; boiling accordingly stops.
