The object of the investigation is the drive of the tumbling drum for removal of burrs after stamping.

The purpose of the work is to design a single-stage cylindrical gearbox.

The drive of a tumbling drum for removal of hangnails after stamping consisting of the P TU 16525.564-84 AIR160S6 electric motor = 11 kW, one connecting coupling, a one-stage cylindrical reducer and the open belt drive was as a result designed.

Technical characteristics of the drive:

- circumferential force on the drum 0.9 kN;

- circumferential speed of drum 3.0 m/s;

- engine power 11 kW;

- speed of motor shaft 970 min-1;

- gear ratio of the drive 9.90.

A special feature of the project is the electronic form of design work.

The note to the course project (with the exception of applications) was made in the text editor Microsoft Word 2003, the graphic part and the annexes to the explanatory note are made in the graphic editor Compass 3 - D V8 Plus and are presented on the CD disc (in the envelope on the back of the cover).

Introduction

The implementation of the course project on "Machine Parts" completes the general technical cycle of student training. This is their first independent work, during which students actively use knowledge from a number of disciplines: mechanics, material resistance, metal technology, interchangeability, etc.

When performing a course project, the student sequentially passes from selecting a mechanism scheme through the multivariability of design solutions to its implementation in working drawings; getting involved in engineering creativity, learning from previous experience, learns to anticipate new ideas in the creation of machines that are reliable and durable, economical to manufacture and operate, convenient and safe to maintain.

The object of the study of this course design is the drive of the tumbling drum for removal of burrs after stamping and a cylindrical reduction gear.

Cylindrical reduction gear has relatively high efficiency. It has small dimensions, while having a small gear ratio and can transmit large torques.

The designed drive consists of the following main elements:

- electric motor;

- open belt transmission;

- cylindrical reduction gear box;

- coupling;

- tumbling drum.

The electric motor is designed to create a primary torque on the input shaft of the reduction gear with a certain number of revolutions. An electric motor is one of the most common sources of driving force. It is distinguished by its relative cheapness and ease of maintenance and operation. Therefore, the use of an electric motor as a torque source is most advantageous.

Open belt gear is used to transmit torque from electric motor shaft to input shaft of reduction gear.

In addition, a single-stage cylindrical reduction gear is used in the drive.

The chain clutch is designed to transfer torque from the output shaft of the reduction gear box to the drum shaft.

In the course of this course project, it will be necessary to do: kinematic calculation of gears and select an electric motor, then carry out design and check calculation of mechanical gear, as well as calculation of belt gear. Next, it will be necessary to think through the gearbox layout and perform check calculations of the selected bearings, shafts, key connections, as well as choose the lubrication method and type of seals. Finally, the gear ratio error must be calculated.
