Description
Design part
Externally, the torque wrench, the device of which is shown in the picture, resembles a ratchet. It differs from it in the presence of a scale that shows the force applied by the user through a torque wrench to the nut.
At the base of the wrench there is a handle that rotates in both directions. The main scale is carved on the body, and an additional scale with designations from 0 to 14 is carved on the handle. The main scale shows the force range specific to a particular tool model, e.g. 5 – 25 Nm.
A torque wrench makes it possible to precisely control the mechanical impact within a certain range.
The principle itself is simple. With the handle, you need to set a certain value in the range. During operation, the ratchet mechanism will encounter a physical limitation and make a corresponding click, making it difficult to move further. An additional horizontal scale will make it possible to slightly "tighten" the connection in a certain range of strength.
