Development of a technology for assembling and welding a stand for assembling and disassembling working and support rolls

Description

The stand is a component of the assembly/disassembly stand for backup and work rolls. The stand is designed for loading pre-assembled chocks onto the backup and work rolls of the roughing and finishing stands before loading them into the stand, as well as for removing chocks from the backup and work rolls during roll repair or regrinding.

The assembly/disassembly stand for backup and work rolls consists of a receiving roller table, guide plates located to the left and right of the receiving table, and two carriages moving along the guide plates.

The stand consists of the following parts:

- base;

- walls;

- ribs;

- soles;

- plates;

- pins.

This stand is made of sheet and shaped rolled products. The structure is made of 15KhSND steel. The stand weighs 87.5 kg and has dimensions of 680 x 565 x 217 mm. Welding is performed using a shielded gas mixture for joints of sizes H1-∆8, T1-∆5, T1-∆8, T3-∆5, and non-standard welds.

During manufacturing, the product can be divided into individual units, which are assembled using subassembly welding.

This structure is subject to variable loads.

Figure 1 shows a general view of the assembly/disassembly stand for support and work rolls. 15HSND steel is used as the structural material.

15HSND steel is a low-alloy structural steel.

Special heat treatment and hardening are used to produce this steel. During manufacturing, the heat-treated steel undergoes special mechanical testing for impact strength, tensile strength, and Brinell hardness. 15KhSND steel offers significant advantages such as excellent strength, a long service life, and complete impermeability to any mechanical or chemical influences. This steel is unaffected by seawater, cold air, or aggressive environments. It can be used at temperatures ranging from minus 70 to plus 450 degrees Celsius.
