Introduction

 

Hoisting machines are a highly effective means of integrated mechanization and automation of lifting and transporting, loading and unloading and warehouse operations. The use of such machines reduces the use of heavy manual operations and contributes to a sharp increase in labor productivity. The automation of hoisting machines makes it possible to include it in the production line, and the versatility of its use makes it an integral element of flexible automated production.

Hoisting machines move piece and bulk cargo along the spatial route, assemble large-block industrial and residential buildings, install and assemble equipment of industrial enterprises, supply various building materials to the place of their laying, carry out loading and unloading operations in warehouses of building materials, service production processes in repair and other workshops. Hoisting machines are machines of intermittent, (cyclical) action. In their work cycle, periods of action are interspersed with pauses.

Such selection of hoisting machine and material handling equipment is the main factor of normal operation and high production efficiency. It is impossible to ensure its stable rhythm at the modern stage of intensification without the coordinated and trouble-free operation of modern means of mechanization of intra- and inter-shop transportation of raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products at all stages of processing and storage.

That is why the purpose of this course work is to calculate and design the KBM-401P tower crane, its main mechanisms and indicators.
