Description
A deep cold generator or expander is a machine for cooling a gas by expanding it using the resulting work. A high-pressure expander is a vertical single-cylinder machine of simple action. The main mechanism is a crank-slider, consisting of a crankshaft 1, a connecting rod 2 and a piston 3. Working fluid - air compressed to the pressure of Pmax, enters the cylinder of the expander through the intake valve. As the piston moves downwards, the compressed air expands, producing work. The duty cycle is completed in one turn of the crank. Changes in pressure in the expander cylinder depending on the position of the piston are represented by an indicator diagram.
Working fluid - air is removed from the cylinder after expansion through the exhaust valve. The valves are forcibly opened by means of pushrod rods of cam mechanisms. The cams are mounted on the crankshaft of the expander.
The movement of all mechanisms is carried out from the electric motor M through the planetary gearbox and gearing z4 and z5.
During the course project , a structural analysis of the crank-creep, toothed and cam mechanisms was carried out. Speed and acceleration plans were made for different positions of the crank-creep mechanism, an involute of gearing was found, a graph of the speed, acceleration and movement of the pusher was built, a practical and theoretical profile of the cam was found. A calculation of speed and acceleration for 6 positions of the mechanism was carried out.
