Introduction
The figure shows the schematic diagram of the three-hull evaporator. The feed solution from the intermediate vessel 1 is supplied by centrifugal pumps 2 to the heat exchanger 3 (where it is heated to a temperature close to the boiling point) and then to the first body 4 of the evaporator. Preheating of solution increases boiling intensity in evaporator 4.
The first housing is heated with fresh water steam. The secondary steam generated by concentrating the solution in the first housing is directed as a heater to the second housing 5. A partially concentrated solution from the 1st body also comes here. Similarly, the third housing 6 is heated by the secondary steam of the second housing and concentrates the solution from the second housing.
The spontaneous flow of solution and secondary steam into the following housings is possible due to the total pressure drop resulting from the creation of a vacuum by condensing the secondary steam of the last housing in the barometric mixing condenser 7 (where the predetermined pressure is maintained by the supply of cooling water and the suction of non-condensing gases by the vacuum pump 8). Mixture of cooling water and condensate is removed from condenser by means of barometric pipe with hydraulic lock 9. The concentrated solution formed in the third housing is fed by the centrifugal pump 10 to the intermediate e-bone of the evaporated solution 11.
Condensation of heating vapors from evaporators is removed by means of condesat drains 12.
