Description
Diploma project of the educational qualification level "bachelor" on the topic: "Citric acid production line with the development of a plate heat exchanger."
The project includes:
- Explanatory note containing: list of abbreviations, symbols, introduction, 8 sections, conclusions, list of references and annexes. The full scope of the explanatory note is 78 pages of A4 format, 10 figures, 4 tables and a list of links of 30 titles (on 3 pages).

The objective of the project is to design a plate heat exchanger designed to cool the culture liquid after sterilization.
The first chapter describes the areas of use, physical and chemical properties of citric acid.
The second chapter describes the flow chart of the citric acid production line.
The third section describes the purpose and scope
plate-type heat exchanger provides a number of advantages for its use in production.
In the fourth section, a patent search was made, a comparative analysis of the main parameters of the design of a heat exchanger with active analogues was made.
The fifth section shows the technical characteristics of the plate heat exchanger.
In the sixth chapter, calculations were made confirming the operability and reliability of the plate heat exchanger design:
thermal calculation. The purpose of which is to determine the heat exchange surface area;
structural calculation of plate selection, determination of plate package layout and checking of heat exchange surface area;
hydromechanical calculation of coolant flow rate in nozzles and pump selection;
strength calculation Check of strength conditions, tightness of flange connection.
The seventh section contains requirements for labor protection, fire and environmental safety of production.
The eighth section deals with the installation and operation of the heat exchanger.
On the basis of the calculations, a plate heat exchanger was designed that meets the technical requirements and meets the needs of production.
