Calculation of power supply and selection of electrical equipment of the welding section of the workshop.
1 Characteristics of the welding section of the workshop
The welding section (SU) is designed for preparatory work with products. They are part of a large machine shop of a heavy engineering plant.
At the welding site, manual electric arc welding and cladding, semi-automatic and automatic impulse cladding under a layer of flux, etc. are provided for various purposes.
It is equipped with electrical installations (PP): thermal, welding, ventilation, as well as metalworking machines.
Transport operations are carried out with the help of a crane-beam, an electric hoist, ground electric trolleys, belt conveyors.
The site has a mechanical, thermal compartment, welding posts, a department of impulse cladding, where the main equipment is placed.
Power supply (ESP) is provided from the shop transformer substation (TP) 10/0.4 kV, located at a distance of 50 m from the site building. In the future, the same TP provides for the ESP of the machine section with an additional load (P = 800 kW; cosφ = 0.85; Kn = 0.6)
Electrical receivers that provide vital activity (ventilation and air conditioning) belong to the 2nd category of reliability of the ESP, and the rest - to 3. Number of working shifts – 2.
The soil in the area of the workshop is sand at tº + 12 º C. The frame of the building is constructed of blocks - sections with a length of 8, 6 and 4 m each.
Workshop dimensions AxBxH = 48х30х8 m
All rooms, except the mechanical compartment, are two-storey with a height of 3.6 m
The list of EO of the welding section shop is given in Table 3.16
Power consumption (Ep) is indicated for one electrical receiver.
