Comparison of beam cage variants and selection of economical overlap
1.1. Floor Layout
The floor layout includes:
• purpose of column grid;
• selection of the location of the main load-bearing elements (main beam, secondary beam, slab);
• determination of their dimensions and dimensions of cross sections;
• development of interface units.
The location of the main beams in the longitudinal or transverse directions is accepted depending on the architectural and technological requirements. Secondary beams are arranged perpendicular to main beams. It is recommended that you assign the pitch of the secondary beams so that the axes of the secondary beams coincide with the axes of the columns. The final version of the layout of floors is adopted on the basis of the technical and economic indicators of several options. In the course design, you can limit yourself to selecting the structural layout of the floor based on a comparison of 3 versions of the floor by concrete consumption. The dimensions of the structure specified in the assignment in the plan should be considered as dimensions between the axes. The extreme layout axes in industrial buildings are located on the inner faces of the walls (zero reference), either with an offset inside the wall by a multiple of 100 mm, or in the middle of the wall thickness.
