Introduction

The theme of this course work is to perform traction-dynamic and fuel-economic calculations of the Chevrolet Corvette Z06.

The following tasks for calculating the traction dynamic characteristics of the car will be considered: 1) selection of the engine, construction of the external speed characteristic of the engine; 2) calculation of transmission gear ratios; 3) calculation of the kinematic speed of the car by gears; 4) traction characteristic of the car; 5) dynamic characteristic of the car; 6) characteristics of vehicle acceleration dynamics; 7) fuel and economic characteristics .

Transmission parameters and resistance factors for the movement of the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 are calculated using certain methods.

4 analysis of traction-dynamic and fuel-economic characteristics of the car

Analysis of the traction and speed properties of the designed car (prototype Chevrolet Corvette Z06) allows you to evaluate the correctness of the selection of engine and transmission parameters. For this purpose, we use the dynamic characteristic and graphs of the path and acceleration time of the car. As a result, we can conclude that it is advisable to design a six-speed gearbox for a given car, which will significantly improve the dynamic and traction-speed qualities of the car, as well as significantly improve the fuel and economic performance of the designed car.

The cost of road transportation largely depends on the fuel economy of cars - a property that characterizes the fuel consumption of a car when driving. Fuel efficiency directly depends on the design of the car. It is determined by the degree of perfection of the working process in the engine, the efficiency and transmission ratios, resistance to movement. Fuel economy is estimated by the track fuel consumption - the fuel consumption per 100 km of the path traveled by the car.

Conclusion

In the course of this course work, the knowledge gained by students in studying the discipline "Cars," as well as other general technical disciplines, developed skills in calculating the characteristics of cars that evaluate their operational properties, acquired skills in designing and mastering calculation methods.

In the course work, the topic was considered: traction-dynamic and fuel-economic calculation of the prototype car. As a prototype for this course work, the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 was chosen equipped with a 7.0 V8 gasoline engine.

In this course work, the following tasks were considered for calculating the traction dynamic characteristics of the car:

1) selection of engine, construction of external speed characteristic of engine;

2) calculation of transmission gear ratios;

3) calculation of the kinematic speed of the car by gears;

4) traction characteristic of the car;

5) dynamic characteristic of the car;

6) characteristics of vehicle acceleration dynamics;

7) fuel and economic characteristics.
