Description

The main advantage of stepper drives is accuracy. When supplying potentials to the windings, the stepper motor will turn strictly to a certain angle.

The stepper actuator, as an inexpensive alternative to servo drive, is best suited for the automation of individual units and systems where high dynamics are not required.

The step crushing mode (microsteps) is implemented with independent control of the current of the windings of the stepper motor. By controlling the ratio of currents in the windings, it is possible to fix the rotor in an intermediate position between the steps. Thus, it is possible to increase the smoothness of rotation of the rotor and achieve high positioning accuracy.
