Refined Palm Oil Storage Tank Project

The designed tank is designed to store palm oil refined at 20ºC. The device consists of a cylindrical jacket and two ellipsoidal heads. The upper end is attached to the shell with a flange, and the lower end is welded to the cylindrical part. Refined palm oil is fed into the tank through the top pipe and drained through the bottom pipe. To carry out repair work inside the tank, a hatch was installed in the cylindrical part. The tank works in a vertical position, it is welded to four support posts. Its expected service life is 10 years. The construction material of the tank is stainless steel AISI 304 (1.4301). AISI 304 is the standard grade from the group of austenitic chromium-nickel steels. It has good corrosion resistance in the natural environment. In addition, the tank was equipped with a thermometer and a liquid sensor.
