The microdistrict is the main element of the city's residential development, the main structural element of the urban area. It is designed as a complex, isolated from the main city traffic, with full routine household services, where comfortable and convenient living conditions are created for the population.

The basis of the microdistrict is its residential area, which is combined with a complex of service establishments. A residential group of multi-storey buildings is a structural unit of a microdistrict and consists of several residential buildings with common driveways, courtyards and utilities. The creation of a single internal space makes it possible to combine driveways, sidewalks and platforms, a more compact arrangement of engineering networks and structures, a comfortable location of green areas and recreation areas, and also makes it possible to use land resources in the most rational and economical way.
