Description
The purpose of the coursework is to provide students with the skills of independent engineering activities related to circuit design.
The object of development and research is the elements and assemblies of industrial electronics, which are currently most used in the semiconductor DC electric drive: a thyristor rectifier, a pulse-phase control device, thyristor protection circuits against overcurrents and overvoltages, a nonlinear regulator, etc. Valve Electric Drives, however, the assignment is limited to the consideration of special issues relating only to the non-reversible (one-quadrant) electric drive based on a single-set thyristor transducer. The selection of elements, the calculation of the static and energy characteristics of the device constitute the main content of the calculation and explanatory note to the project. At the same time, part of the material focuses on creative participation in the research work of students carried out at the department. The performance of labor-intensive computational operations is provided with the help of a computer. For this purpose, the Mathcad program is used, which was specially created to perform any mathematical operations.
