TECHNOARD DRYING CHAMBERS

Wood drying is an important step in the wood treatment process. The drying quality of wood depends directly on the equipment. Only with the use of high-quality equipment and modern technologies can you achieve good results. Based on the experience of advanced foreign and domestic specialists in this field, we use the latest imported electrical equipment and spare parts. As a result of numerous checks, it has been proved that a convective type drying chamber dries lumber more efficiently and evenly. The drying chambers of this model are characterized by reliability, economy and quality. The control system is completely automatic. The loading volume of the cameras is from 30 m 3 to 200 m 3. We also manufacture any size dryers to order and upgrade obsolete equipment. Our equipment is easy to use, reliable and durable. made on the basis of the latest technologies. The set of the supplied drying equipment, depending on the customer's request, includes the following systems: 
Automatic control system, aluminium housing, lifting and rolling gate with cantilever, control door, ventilation system, heating system, sprayer pipeline, moisture removal system, inverter.

Principle of operation

After sawing, the material is laid in a drying chamber. During drying, air coming from the fans passes through the heater and, penetrating into the drying chamber, increases the temperature, while eliminating humidity from the surface of the wood, then leaves the drying chamber from the opposite side through the fans, forming an air cycle. When the humidity level is higher than normal, the water supersaturated agent is automatically released and replaced with dry water. If the humidity is lower than normal, the control valve of the moisture sprayer is automatically opened, so that the wood is heated and dried. In addition, the reversible rotation of the motor can periodically change the direction of the air cycle, which ensures uniform drying.

Dryer enclosure

 

The load-bearing frame of the housing, wall enclosures and roof of the drying chamber are made of high-strength aluminum alloys recommended exactly where resistance against acids is needed. Chamber outer and inner surfaces are lined with corrugated aluminium sheet. The drying chamber is installed by stainless bolting. The enclosure of the chamber is made of prefabricated panels, which consist of special corrugated aluminum sheets the space between which is filled with glass fiber. This housing design provides minimal heat loss and long-term drying chamber service. The opening and closing of the gate is carried out by a special lift.

Automatic Control System

Italian equipment HOZMEISTER M800 with interface in Russian is used. Operators can enter up to 80 standard drying programs from the keyboard or set parameters themselves. Devices automatically monitor the operation of the heating and ventilation system, as well as the humidification system, due to which good drying quality is achieved. Devices are combined into a single network, which allows you to control the drying process of several drying chambers from one computer. An inverter can be installed to save power.

 

Temperature is controlled by means of radiators through which the heat carrier passes, changing the temperature in the chamber. Moisture level is maintained by spray and moisture removal. The ventilation system is carried out using electric motors, to which fans are attached. The software system automatically checks and monitors the temperature, humidity level in the chamber and on the surface of the wood using sensors.

Fan and ventilation system

 

Ventilation unit is located in upper part of chamber above false ceiling. Wood is dried in the lower part. Calorifers are placed near ventilation channels on one or two sides of ventilation chamber. Air coming from the fans passes through the heater and, penetrating into the drying chamber, increases the temperature, while eliminating humidity from the surface of the wood, then leaves the drying chamber from the opposite side through the fans, forming an air cycle, thus heating and drying the wood is carried out.

Heater

 

Calorifer is made of metals of two types. The calorifer core is made of stainless steel pipe, aluminum ribs are attached to the outside. When the heating control valve is opened on the pipelines, steam passes through the heater and increases the temperature inside the chamber, while heating the wood. The number of heater blocks depends on the load volume of the dryer.

Lifting and sliding gates
 

 

Door frame is made of aluminium profile. Outer and inner surfaces are finished with corrugated aluminium sheet. Heat-resistant and moisture-resistant sealing tape is arranged on inner side along perimeter of gate. Cantilever rail system of steel doors. The opening and closing of the gate is carried out by a special lift. From the consoles, raised doors can move up and to the right. The space between the outer and inner surfaces is filled with fiberglass. Rolling rollers are fixed on both sides of the door to ensure tight closing. When lowered, the door closes automatically.

Aluminium heat-resistant motor

 

It works stably at humidity up to 100%. When heated to 150С, it automatically turns off, ensuring that the system operates normally. Class H IP55 protection.

"Belimo" servomotors for opening of moisture removal dampers.

 

On the roof of the chamber housing, on both sides of the fans, inlet and outlet openings are installed, in the middle part of which there is an aluminum damper. When during the drying process the moisture level exceeds the set one, the dampers are automatically opened by means of the Swiss "Belimo" servomotors, removing excess moisture and simultaneously introducing fresh air, thus circulating the air flow.

Piping System

 

Common inlet pipeline is introduced into drying chamber, which is divided into two branches through main inlet valve. One branch is the heating branch, the other is the spraying branch. Steam filter and solenoid valve are installed on these two branches. The heating branch is connected to the inlet pipe of the heater, and the outlet pipeline of the heater is connected to the recirculation one, in the final part of which there is an electromagnetic valve and a water repellent. The function of the water repellent is to stop steam supply and cold water supply.
Humidification system

In the air channel of the rear part of the chamber there is a long pipe made of stainless steel, on the surface of which there are many spraying holes. During the wood drying process, when the humidity becomes lower than normal, the control valve of the sprayer is automatically opened, which allows increasing the humidity level in the chamber and maintaining it at the desired level, ensuring high-quality drying of the wood.

Heating system

 

Heating system consists of bimetallic heaters, circulation pump, connecting pipes, solenoid valves and filters. Heating-convective method. Hot water (90-100 ° C) or steam (115 ° C) is used as heat carrier. Calorifers are made of bimetallic ribbed pipes consisting of stainless steel and aluminum, which increases the area and eliminates obstacles to heat exchange. Water pipes are made of stainless steel. In combination with fans, the heating system is highly efficient and gives excellent results. Corrosion-resistant pipes are able to withstand pressure in safe use, while guaranteeing long-term operation.
