Introduction

The purpose of this course work is to master the educational material devoted to the discipline "Pumping and blowing stations." During the development of course work, lectures were used, as well as practical exercises, which made it possible to get as close as possible to the design basics of such a large facility as a sewage pumping station (KNU). The main task in the development of this course work was, applying the recommendations of the teaching manual, to learn how to conduct calculations and design the KNS.

Sewage water of settlements is supplied through free gravity pipelines to the main sewage pumping station, from which it is supplied by pumps through pressure water pipelines to the receiving chamber of sewage treatment facilities of the settlement. In order to design the sewage pumping station (CN) it is necessary to perform the following calculations: determine the operating mode of the CN; determine the volume of the receiving tank of this pump station; perform hydraulic calculation of suction and pressure pipelines; determine the required pump head; select the type of pump and motor driving it; determine the number of standby pumps; calculate the turning of the pump impeller; schedule the joint operation of pumps and water pipelines; check pumps and water ducts to pass the emergency flow; determine the number of emergency switches on pressure water ducts; develop a high-altitude scheme of the KNU; select equipment to remove floating waste from the water; select the drain pump; pick up the power transformer; pick up lifting equipment; select shaped parts and fittings; clarify head losses in internal communications of the pump station; determine the main technical and economic parameters of the pump station.
