introduction

The course project on machine parts is the first work of students, during which skills are acquired in calculating and designing machine parts and assemblies, methods, norms and design rules are studied to ensure reliable, durable and economical structures.

The theme of the course project is the chain conveyor drive. It includes electric motor, compensating clutch, reduction gear, chain transmission and actuator. Reduction gear is designed to transfer power from electric motor to actuator with reduction of RPM and increase of torque. The clutch smoothes the spikes of moments of forces arising during the operation of the mechanism.

The note provides kinematic and power calculations of the drive, gives a method for choosing an electric motor and a cylindrical two-stage reduction gear, designing a V-belt transmission on a computer and an actuator.

CONCLUSION

In this course design, the kinematic and power calculation of the drive was carried out, the necessary engine was selected, the reduction gear was selected according to the calculated torque and gear ratio of the reduction gear, the design of the chain transmission on the computer and the actuator (drum) was carried out.

As well as all necessary check calculations were performed, drawings of the actuator, drive, shaft and drive sprocket of the chain transmission were built.
