Introduction

Mechanization of loading and unloading operations is one of the most important reserves for increasing the economic efficiency of agricultural production.

The level of mechanization of loading, unloading and warehousing of agricultural goods is still far behind the level of mechanization of similar operations in other industries, which leads to slow transport, high costs and increased production costs. For example, only when repairing agricultural machinery, the labor costs associated with lifting and transportation operations account for about 30% of the total labor intensity of dismantling, assembling and restoring parts.

The variety of agricultural cargoes that differ in nature and purpose determines the use of various lifting and transporting mechanisms - hoists, winches, crane beams, rotary cantilever, goat cranes, etc.

Lifting mechanisms are increasingly included in the system of machines for the integrated mechanization of cargo flow. In this regard, general engineering training in agricultural universities in the specialties "Mechanization of Agriculture," "Mechanization of Agricultural Processing," "Service and Technical Operation of Transport and Technological Machines and Equipment in Agriculture" ends with the study of the course "Lifting Vehicles" (PTM). In the course of training, students learn about the features of the processes of reloading agricultural cargoes, lifting and transporting equipment of the main types, their characteristics, the field of application and calculation methods. The study of the PTM course is completed by performing a course project or work, when the student for the first time independently develops the design of the lifting machine. When designing, he has to choose schemes and basic parameters of mechanisms, develop designs of non-standard units and parts taking into account working conditions and requirements, and solve issues related to the use of standard products.

Unfortunately, the necessary reference materials are given in various literature sources and, in addition, they do not always take into account the specifics of PTM used in agriculture, where light-duty devices are mainly used. All this makes it very difficult to work on the project.
